The Bag Handle Everyone is Talking About!

How the Stella’s handle came to life

When I first sat down to design the Stella Statement Bag, I didn’t start with a colour, or even the shape of the entire bag itself. I started with the handle.

I had this vision in my head of a sculptural swirl that looked like something you'd see in a gallery, or on the arm of someone walking out of a Paris Fashion Week show🗼....

           A high-end handle inspired by the ocean wave 🌊

I was seeing all these beautiful, abstract accessories on Pinterest and the runway of high end fashion brands. But every time I looked into actually buying something similar, the prices were wild - designer-level $$$  😵 for something I wanted to carry on a night out. So I thought, what if I made it myself?

The swirl became my challenge and obsession. I worked closely with my manufacturer to figure out how we could mold it, test it, get the curve just right. Not too big, not too heavy, and definitely not boring.

I wanted it to feel luxe, but still be accessible. A bag you’d reach for on big nights out 💃 but also on random Fridays when you’re feeling extra. Because yes, the swirl is a statement that turns heads but it’s also surprisingly wearable.

That swirl handle is now "the piece that started it all"
